Wind today has been pretty spooky. Glad I got to work from home. Would not wanna drive in this weather, only time it was really fine would have been in the middle of the day when I was working. And with the heat upstairs working there's no real reason for me to want to go into the office (besides, like, needing to go in).

Today has been a day of gaming, this time playing an early Christmas present; the DQ1 HD remake. It's a good game but even as someone who hasn't played the original it's really obvious that it's very different to the original. DQ1 is literally the first JRPG ever and yet the remake feels like a modern game where you just happen to not have a party and instead just the main character. It also feels kind of easy so far? I could perhaps be a level or two ahead of the curve but I was also one-shotting enemies out of the gate with just the starting gear, which feels wrong considering grinding experience is the core gameplay loop of DQ1. That's not necessarily a bad thing (I doubt most people would really want that, and even without emulation you can still get a more direct remake (a port of the mobile version) on the Switch), and there is a harder difficulty, but I still have not really had any struggles so far.
